While we may know that our body is mostly made up of water, many people don't realize that drinking water consistently throughout the day is essential for our organs to function optimally - including our largest organ... Yep, drinking plenty of water is an important step in our daily skincare routine! Dehydration stresses our organs & triggers a release of stress hormones that can cause us to look & feel older.

So let's figure out if you're drinking enough H2O on a daily basis. Divide your weight, [in pounds], in half. Now ask yourself if you're drinking at least that many ounces of water each day. Yes? You're a rockstar! No? Let's improve things... 8oz at a time ;-)

If you're not drinking enough, aim to improve 1 week at a time. Each week, increase how much you're drinking daily by 8oz, [1 glass], until you've reached your goal amount. Keep in mind that when you're working out you need to drink even more to replenish what you're sweating out - so add an additional 24-32oz to your goal amount if you're working up a sweat on a regular basis! Go ahead & add fruits/veggies, [like lemon or cucumber], to add some flavor, just don’t add any flavors with artificial colors or sweeteners, [like Crystalite], because that is just working against your intentions to improve the function of your organs & improve your complexion. Also, you may find it helpful to invest in a reusable water bottle so that you can do the math and figure out how many times you need to finish and refill it in a single day in order to reach your goal! [That's WAY easier than trying to keep track of how many glasses you've drank.]

Drinking plenty of water is one of the simplest ways you can improve your health. Commit to making it a habit - the rewards outweigh the time and effort you invest tenfold!
