10 Reasons You Should Resolve to Exercise More in 2018

Recently, I've published several articles about how exercise can improve various parts of our lives. Each of the articles takes 60-seconds or less to read, and now I've compiled them into this list of "10 Reasons You Should Resolve to Exercise More in 2018":

  1. Stress Relief: "The great thing about exercise is that it’s an all-natural solution with a long list of positive side effects, rather than a ton of negative ones like we see with prescription meds."
  2. Improve Mental Function: "Regular exercise not only helps us get [more] sh!t done now, it also helps prevent serious health issues, [like Alzheimer's] from adding to our to-do list down the road."
  3. Mend A Broken Heart [Literally & Figuratively]: not only can exercise help us through heartbreak, it "can both prevent heart disease and reverse symptoms of it".
  4. Enhances Energy: moving "just 20-minutes a day can decrease the feeling of fatigue by 50-65%".
  5. Helps You Sleep Better: "150-minutes of physical activity each week, [30-minutes per day, 5 days a week], improves people’s sleep quality by an average of 65%."
  6. Prevents/Reverses Symptoms of Type II Diabetes: "Strength training each major muscle group at least twice a week is what will truly help your body improve it’s insulin sensitivity. This is something many medications for diabetics are designed to do, but strength training does it naturally."
  7. Reduce Chronic Pain: "There are over 1.5 billion people on the planet who struggle with chronic pain... researchers have found that strength training at least twice a week is an incredibly effective way to both reduce pain and improve quality of life."
  8. Prevents Cancer: "Fighting disease or not, prioritizing your fitness will help you lead a happier, more fulfilling life - even if 'the C-word' barges into it."
  9. Desk Job Antidote: "A few of the risks associated with careers that keep people sitting too long include heart disease, diabetes, obesity, depression and chronic pain. We often associate these issues with aging, but the truth is that they are far more influenced by a person’s lifestyle than their age."
  10. Lengthens Life Expectancy: "In one study, people who only achieved about half the recommended amount of physical activity on a weekly basis still gained years to their life expectancy that their inactive counterparts did not - almost 2 years to be exact."

Make 2018 the year that you invest in your health and wellness. Remember! This investment isn't selfish - it can save your loved ones from the burdens and heartbreak of poor health too. Make 2018 your year to B Strong, B Well, B Bold!

Must-Have Monday: Non-Toxic Facial Cleanser & Moisturizing Oil

As a trainer and wellness enthusiast, I'm asked daily about the products I trust to support my active, healthy lifestyle, so I decided to start a new Vlog series called "Must-Have Monday"! Every Monday, I'll share a product I can't live without - and no, I'm not being paid to record these... We're all consumers and I want to empower the B Strong Fit Fam to make choices as consumers that both improve their well-being and make the world a better place :-) I'll record these every Monday, Live on IG and FB, but post them here on the blog a week later to make sure you don't miss out!

Last week, for my 1st ever installment, I shared the Facial Cleanser & Moisturizer I SWEAR BY - Indie Lee's Brightening Cleanser and Squalane Facial Oil. When I lived in Boston, I bought it at Follain, and here in San Diego I grab it at Seamakers & Co. Click play to hear exactly why I love it so much!!

Monday Mindset: B Fearless [Part II]

Nerves, anxiety and fear are life's unpleasant, yet reliable way of holding us accountable and pressuring us to perform to the best of our ability. However, fear should not hold you back from doing anything at all. If you're constantly on the sidelines rather than hoping into the game, remember this:

Command your life!

B Fearless,

Cassie B.
